1987 Pearson 31-2 an amazingly solid design fin keel sloop sailboat by William Shaw. The boat has been well maintained by marine engineers and riggers [Manhasset Bay Ship Yard] and the present owners, an electrical and construction engineer and a first class First Mate! The PHRF is 156/165, has a large inventory of sails, both racing and cruising. This boat has had extensive recent purchased and performed upgrades [over $20k, including $10k of standing and running rigging, new Raymarine electronics and both mast and hull wiring. The auxiliary engine is a high reliability, smooth running Yanmar 2GM20F. HULL #20 Reinforced foredeck in and around the anchor locker, under pulpit bases, under the mooring cleats with fiber class backing plates for each sets of bolts. All stanchions removed, wet core ground out, filled void with epoxy fiberglass sandwiching G10 plates building up the bases of the stanchions to facilitate water runoff.
