This set is played entirely on vinyl and built as a continuous selection, moving through different perspectives of IDM without focusing on a single scene or period. Instead, it highlights connections between productions, aesthetics, and different generations of electronic music, from the 1990s to the present days. Intelligent Dance Music is usually understood as a musical area oriented toward the club. In this selection, between classics and more recent productions, the focus is on its forms that are more related to listening than to the dancefloor. WHO WE ARE H501L: Composer, electronic musician, producer, DJ, music consultant, videomaker, and photographer. Founder (since 2001) of the radio format Musica Machina (Radio Città Aperta, Radio Popolare Roma, and Radio Onda Rossa, 2001–2025) and of the label Musica Machina Records, active since 2008. He has also created other radio shows that became well-known on the Roman airwaves, such as La Danza della Mente (Power Station 1995–1998, Radio Centro Idea / Samarcanda Digital Network 2024–2025) and Psichedelia ’60 (Radio Centro Idea / Samarcanda Digital Network 2024–2025). As Recycle, together with Remo Remotti, he co-authored the iconic track Mamma Roma Addio. CIUFFY ROUGE: DJ, Radio Format Producer, TV Content Creator, Photographer, Videomaker, Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Painter, Cover Artist and Mixed Media Artist. Since 2004 she has collaborated with Musica Machina (Radio Città Aperta, Radio Popolare Roma, Radio Onda Rossa 87.9 FM) with graphics and DJ sets ranging from glitch, color bass, dubstep and future funk. All within a cyber-feminine vision enriched by anime influences, arcade, retro-futuristic aesthetics and post-modern approach. Each of her sets is accompanied by original artworks, handmade and digitized. She created the logo of Musica Machina Direct Drive and since 2022 also the one of the radio show Musica Machina. For MTV she created 3D animated shorts aired for the program “YourNoise” and took part in “Radio Qoob” with H501L in an experimental audio-visual project.
