Potato Tattooed With A Chartres-like Labyrinth :-)

2020 05 04 Everyone has already heard or read assertions about the profound spiritual signification of labyrinths... here you can verify, in your own soul, whether such spiritual claims survive with a labyrinth drawn on a simple potato :-) Lately, I was playing with alternatives to the Chartres Labyrinth : same types of rules, but with different paths on eleven levels ("circuits") and 4 or 5 lobes / sectors. I'll show later a transposition to the dodecahedron, but here, easier to comprehend visually, is the wrapping around a potato. I chose a "new" labyrinth with five sectors. Wrapping the Chartres Labyrinth on a solid is not new : I recently saw an image of a metal sphere engraved with a Chartres Labyrinth; this may have needed the involvement of many people and skills, particularly if it is a commercial product. But much less people, i guess, have wrapped, on a potato, this particular version the labyrinth (because there are so many possible versions, and this one is not excessively regular/attractive). So, maybe, so far, there are no more than 1000 people in the entire history of the earth to have done that... :-) unless this has already been used as a classroom exercise in topology, applied arts or manual crafts ... ok... all this is to be classified into the category : "hopelessly trying to be a member of the smallest clubs on earth" :-) ... the kind of thing you can be tempted to do, when you can't get a Nobel prize of anything, nor become a champion at hot dog eating :-) [other, plane, chartres-like labyrinth : https://experimental-prehistory.blogs...]
