The 1987 Philippine Constitution emphasizes the role of the government to lead and protect its people but also it encourages all Filipinos to be part of the nation building. As Dr. Jose P. Rizal put hope to the youth, the Constitution acknowledges that Filipino youth can be effective catalyst of change and progress in the country. Throughout the generations, Filipinos were given training to exercise love for country and to inspire service to others.
