Cabernet Habanero Reaper Ever since we launched in 2015, people have asked when we were going to come out with a super hot hot sauce. Following our original philosophy of flavor first and highlighting the character of each fire-roasted chile pepper, we created multiple test batches using Ghost, Scorpion, and Reaper chile peppers. However, we weren’t very happy with the results. In our opinion, while the super hot chiles deliver supreme pain, their flavor is just blah. So we decided to fix that and start with Habanero (an amazing tasting chile and our number 1 seller) and a booze base. We haven’t met a hot head who doesn’t like booze (the alcohol cooks out). We only considered ingredients that complimented the wine and Habanero. Once we were happy with the flavor profile, we added Reaper to bring the heat up to a level that makes hot heads smile and average people cry.
