Junior Crehan Farewell to Miltown

Junior Crehan on the pure drop 1990 playing one of his own compositions (Farewell to Milltown). Junior wrote this tune after waiting on the side of the road for a lift to Milltown Malbay where the local ceili band had their weekly practice. Living in the poorer part of Ireland very few people had a car so lifts were pre arranged for such trips. Said lift never arrived so to spite them junior wrote this tune and refused to go to Miltown Malbay for many years. Junior was and still is a legend among traditional Irish musicians for his playing, wealth of tunes, compositions and most of all his kind and humorous nature.
