The Royal International Air Tattoo is the largest military air show in the world with 150,000 people attending over 3 days. In this interview Nat talks with Briony who is the Sustainability Coordinator for RAF Charitable Trust Enterprises - the organisation that puts on RIAT. Briony is one of the team responsible for balancing the requirement to put on an entertaining air show with the need make it more sustainable. It's a challenge to make any event sustainable - let alone an air show of the size of RIAT and the discussion covers what RAFCTE is doing in this regard. This includes everything from helping visitors recycle their waste through to running aircraft on SAF where they can. Nat and Briony also discuss how an air show's mandate can be seen to be showcasing the future of sustainable aviation and how RIAT has a role to play informing future generations. We thank Briony and RAFCTE for their time and insight. 🌍✈️🌱
