Reappearing after the IHOPKC Exposure & Sabbatical | Dwayne's Musings

After dedicating myself to IHOPKC for years, discovering the darkness that lay just beneath the surface and the unfolding scandal that followed, it has made the past two years the hardest of my life. When the truth about Mike Bickle and the layers of abuse came to light, it broke something inside of me. I was overwhelmed — emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. The pain, confusion, and grief were too much to carry. So Jennifer and I stepped away. We took a sabbatical — our first real one — to rest, to breathe, and to find God again outside of the noise. What I found in that space wasn’t quick healing, but the slow, beautiful process of becoming grounded again. In this video, I talk about what happened, how the past few years have changed me, and what I’m seeing now — in beauty, in Jesus, and in the church.
