Allegedly, together, the raynor brothers were at the top of a violent criminal organization in hartford connecticut. In July, 2009, the area surrounding Bedford and Brook Streets was under the control of Money Green Bedrock (MGB), a neighborhood street gang. The green part in the name, comes from green street. At some point, guys from Bedford and green street linked up, as they are only 2 blocks apart. MGB was known to traffic in and sell drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine throughout the area. An alliance between Money Green Bedroc and another crew, the west hell gang, began in the spring of 2008. It started as a symbiotic relationship against the Avenue, which was the larger gang centered around a section of Albany Avenue. On July 16, 2008, thirteen months after the murder of gray, the police recovered a 2 23 caliber Kel-Tec assault rifle and other guns in an unrelated investigation. They received a tip from a confidential informant. After that, there was a falling out between Money Green Bedroc and West Hell. Members of the two groups accused each other of snitching.
