UPDATE! Now available on all streaming platforms! since this blew up on Instagram (even getting a comment from George Clinton himself!! 😎 Stream the track here: http://hyperurl.co/iyigsh I thought it was about time I covered this masterpiece. I've also released this as a single on streaming services here: http://hyperurl.co/iyigsh Fun anecdote from the recording of this - I made the backing track by just recording the rhythm guitar arpeggios a couple of times and then looping it a random number of times - as long as it seemed like it would be long enough to cover my improvisation, whilst fully expecting to have to delete some. I hit record, didn't look up at the laptop once during the performance, and it just so happened that I naturally felt like the right place to end it was THE VERY LAST LOOP. The universe is pretty magical sometimes. If there's a certain sound you want breaking down, let me know in the comments with a timestamp and i'll try and work out what's going on with my feet! Pedals used (in no particular order): Boss DS2 Triungulo Lab J.F. Fuzz (germanium Mosrite Fuzzrite clone) Triungulo Lab WH-X (Ibanez WH10v1 Clone) Triungulo Lab Barbanera (Moog MF101 Lowpass clone with inbuilt LFOs) MXR LA Machine Lovepedal Pickle Vibe Digitech PDS 20/20 Multi-Play Mooer E-Lady Moogerfooger MF102 Ring Modulator Strymon Flint Strymon BigSky Strymon TimeLine As for guitar - amp setup, it's my usual Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster with a Marshall Silver Jubilee Mini (panned left), a Marshall 1959HW Superlead (panned right), and each head is connected to its own attenuator and straight into Two Notes Wall Of Sound speaker impulse responses instead of cabs. Huge thanks to my amazing friend Evy for covering camera duties - this video wouldn't have been the same without you.
