050 023-1 on the Eifelburgenbahn

From 1971 to 1975, the German "050 023-1" was stationed in Mayen Ost on the Eifelquerbahn. For my Eifelburgenbahn, an Eifelquerbahn-imitation, I matched one of my roco 50s with this specific loco. "Kabinentender", the correct number of sand/steam domes, square tubes to the cylinders, etc. I swapped out the roco motor for an excellent Faulhaber one (an easy "SB Modellbau" conversion kit). As decoder, I'm using a cheap Train-o-Matic "Lokkomander II micro" that works quite well. You'll see that the loco can move really smooth. I've cited a small part of a picture from http://ansika.de/html/body_beruf.html of the real 050 023-1 to show that the pose of the standard roco fireman is pretty prototypical :-)
