Vintage Ludwig Drum Restoration + New drum wrap Gold Sparkle I'm not a professional drum restorer. Just mostly basic taking apart and cleaning up the various components on this kit, and sourcing parts. Although I did do some filling with Milliput epoxy resin and sanding on some damaged parts of the shells. Some light sanding inside shells over some scratches and a little clear Briwax to protect the wood. This started out as a Ludwig 75th Anniversary drum kit from 1984 in very poor condition. This kit was one of the last kits Ludwig made in the Chicago factory before they moved to Monroe. 6ply shells (correction, not 9ply as stated in video) with no re-rings. Solid drums. The video explains why and how I restored them and then ended up wrapping them. The Delmar wrap was done by Mark Jeffs at Rusty Drums Ltd. UK. New 22" bass drum hoops with inlays were made by Highwood Drums. Black spray painted several coats and inlay done by Rusty Drums.
