(MATTHEW 2:10 KJV) 🌿 EXPLANATION: Blessed be the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today we meditate on this beautiful verse: “When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.” This star brought great delight to the wise men because it was a glorious sign of the coming of the promised Messiah. For generations, the people of Israel lived under captivity, oppression, and sorrow. The prophet Isaiah had foretold a message of hope that a Savior would come to deliver them. The star shining in the sky was the announcement that their long awaited Deliverer had finally come. When you accept Jesus as your Savior, that same divine light shines within you. God will make you a light to guide those around you who walk in sin, depression, darkness, and unbelief. Through your life, He will lead many to the Messiah who heals, delivers, and fills every heart with hope. Who saw the star and what was it like? The Lord God Himself led them by the star to the exact place where Jesus was born. In the same way, dear ones, God will use you powerfully to reveal His light to people and lead them into His presence. Abraham too saw the stars as a symbol of God’s promise. “And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” (Genesis 15:5) Abraham believed God, and Scripture later shows this promise fulfilled through his descendants (Matthew 1:1-17). Just as the wise men believed and followed the star until they found Jesus and worshipped Him with great joy, you too are called to shine. The Word says: “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3) You can shine like a star in this world. Through your life and testimony, many will be drawn to Jesus. Scripture reminds us to continue shining: “Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God… among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” (Philippians 2:14-15) Beloved, God desires to make you shine brightly so that others may see Jesus through you. This Christmas season, dedicate yourself to shine like a guiding star pointing many to Christ — the true Deliverer, the Light in the darkness, and the Giver of everlasting joy. Will you pray for this blessed calling? 🙏 PRAYER: Dear Lord, I thank You for giving me Jesus, my only Savior, who fills my life with hope. Thank You for being the bright dawn that leads me into everlasting joy. Let my life guide others to You, just as the star led the wise men into Your presence. Help me shine with Your light in this dark world and show Your love wherever I go. Make me a vessel of Your divine presence. Remove every shadow of doubt and fill me with the joy of Your nearness. Teach me to walk in faith and righteousness like Abraham. Help me shine for Your glory and become a guiding star that leads many to Your love. Use my life to bring hope to those who are overcome by fear and darkness. May my words and actions this Christmas reveal Your truth and compassion. Teach me to walk humbly and serve You faithfully. I dedicate myself to Your work. Strengthen me and guide me each day.
