This is a fun easy sweet bread to make, and a great activity to do with the kids. And, the only equipment you need is a large bowl and spoon. In the video, I make a batch of the dough without using a stand mixer and then I make some using a stand mixer, so you can see the difference. We love making cinnamon and chocolate flavoured monkey bread, and in this video I make both flavours. Watch right through to the end to get tips on how to make, shape and assemble the bread. I use parchment paper to line my loaf pans when making the chocolate version for easy removal from the loaf pan. The icing is made with cream cheese, icing sugar, milk and your choice of flavouring.
