We're just about ready to start growing fresh, local greens for the state of Maine and greater New England. Our new facility combines state of the art indoor agriculture techniques like hydroponics, supplemental CO2, LED optimization and smart manufacturing best practices like AI, machine learning, and automation to increase yield while decreasing resource utilization. The farm is also being designed with accessibility in mind to support our customized employment model for people with disabilities. This approach to inclusive hiring helps employ 40% of our farm staff from the disability community. Together we work with local leaders in Maine, and at our original farm in Wyoming, to bolster local food systems, increasing food production locally in ways that help diminish the need for imports. This is especially helpful in cold weather climates, like WY and ME which have short growing seasons. The new farm just outside of Portland, ME is set to begin producing summer of 2025 and start showing up in restaurants, schools and grocery stores throughout New England.
