Circle Memory Part 2- Labrador Retriever Training

In our last video, Josh from Brookstone Kennels Performace Gundogs introduce the circle memory drill. This drill is a way to keep your finished retriever sharp. By varying the types and difficulty of retrieves, your Labrador will get a variety of work to keep them fine tuned. In part 1, the retrieves included an obstacle and a simple lining drill that was designed for no handling. In the second part of the circle memory drill, there is a longer retrieve that will require handling and incorporates terrain making the handler difficult to see. To finish up, the retriever will be required to stop on a retrieve and be directed to a different dummy. Keeping your finished gundog sharp is important. With a little creativity and an eye for simulating scenarios you could see on a hunt you can have them prepared for hunting season.
