In this video I am testing 2 x 28mm outrunner brushless motors for my HK Bixler I. But this test will help anyone intent on purchasing a 28mm size motor within this KV bracket. In these tests I use a 2400MaH 3cell 30C Lipo, EMP(e) props and a 40A ESC I test both motors to their documented Max current draw (both 18A) but notably the NTM is rated for 4s lipos (14.8V) so would be capable of more power if I had one but I don't so this test only demonstrates its performance on a 3s lipo - Both motors are capable of 950grams of thrust on a 11.1v lipo for their given max current draw but the NTM has to use a 9x6 to get it (not suitable for the Bixler) I am using the CNC SmallParts motor mount and can only accomodate an 8" prop (normally only a 6" on the standard motor mount) Please use the links below if you intend to purchase one of these motors based on this video - thanks. Turnigy Park450 http://www.hobbyking.com/buddy.asp?co... NTM Propdrive 2826 1200kv http://www.hobbyking.com/buddy.asp?co... Thanks for watching - I will be reviewing a 275 Watt DYS 2830/8 1300kv motor soon! Expecting this to rival the Turnigy 2826/6 2200kv for thrust but at lower current draw, and therefore longer flight times with no loss in power :0)
