This was our first attempt at producing a "Made for TV Movie" for Cable Access in Anoka, Minnesota. This was shot and edited in the summer of 1987 by the same crew that produced Hang Loose Live. With all our friends from High School, we developed this crazy story line and made up the dialog on the fly. No scripts, no prompters, no cue cards. It was shot in one day at a home in Fridley, Minnesota. Production wise, we used a Panasonic tube camera connected into a VHS deck. Story Line: After Sesame Street, Burt and Ernie both went their separate ways. At the request of President Regan, Ernie went to South America to help fight the war on drugs. During his tour there, he was traumatized and had to return home. Back in the states, he started his own private detective outfit. As for Burt, we don't know what happened... till Ernie is hired to investigate a serial killer and makes a surprise discovery that Burt is THE serial killer in this Nightmare on Sesame Street.
