FIRE IN LIKUMBA. HOW CAN FIRE FIGHTERS USE WATER TO EXTINGUISH PETROL FIRE. AN INCOMPETENT REGIME

Fire fighters came unprepared . For context: the distance from Douala to Likumba is about 95 kilometers, from Buea to Likumba around 40 kilometers, and from Limbe to Likumba roughly 50 kilometers. In this case, firefighters had to come from Limbe to Tiko/Likumba , why not give our people local firefighters brigades? , and they ended up trying to put out a fuel fire with water, which is simply not acceptable. This incident shows the dire need for properly trained and equipped fire brigades in every major town and village in Southern Cameroon. As part of the Peace Plant Paper, we have propose recruiting and training local fire brigades—possibly from former Amba boys who embraces the PPP —so that they can intervene competently in emergencies like this .local firefighters from their communitiesare more motivated.
