Switzerland to Liechtenstein Road/Gravel Ride

Bike riding from Uster-ZH, Switzerland to Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Celebrating 6 months since I restarted to ride bikes, after ankle fusion (and 9 months since the surgery). This ride was a wonderful adventure, taking me through a diverse range of terrains and breathtaking scenery. I pedaled along well-maintained cycle paths and cruised down smooth roads and rugged gravel paths, crossing picturesque bridges and venturing through impressive tunnels, all while encountering beautiful lakes glistening under the sun and breathtaking views of towering alpine mountains and majestic peaks. This varied mix of landscapes, accompanied by the serene presence of the mountains and pristine lakes and rivers, offered truly captivating views, making it a memorable solo ride. This 120 km cycling journey presented a formidable challenge, largely due to the scorching summer temperatures, averaging 33°C and peaking above 40°C. Staying hydrated was absolutely vital, I had a lot of water and snacks to fuel up and frequent stops for cooling down in the shade or in the lakes. Despite the demanding conditions, it was amazing. A very pleasant ride, with stunning views and a satisfying feeling of accomplishment.
