Hi Everyone, This week a sunny episode coming your way. Iefke takes advantage of the summer weather to varnish the bowsprit outside the shed. The only worry is the chickens, they might think that King Billy bowsprit is a shiny new roost. After the bowsprit has had many layers of varnish, we work on fitting the bronze crans-Iron. It takes a bit to get the bronze piece to fit tightly on the tapered point of the bowsprit but the result is very beautiful. In the last part of this episode, Matt takes us on a a start to finish journey of fitting a deck plank. It involves a lot of precise 'eye balling' and lots of walking back and forth between its spot on the deck and the workbench. This small trek across the boat is an adventurous one full of obstacles like roofing iron, lightbulbs, power leads and the camera(wo)man. We hope you enjoy this slow pace collection of wooden boat building antics, jobs that take a couple of go's and patience. As always a massive thanks to you all for your support and feedback. We really enjoy hearing what you all think! A link to our Patreon page below. / aboatbytheriver A link to our Paypal for one off donations.. https://paypal.me/boatbytheriver
