A tutorial to crochet the Happy Hours hexagon and to join the hexagon pieces using the yarn tails. See the second video for the half hexagon and border tutorial. The full written pattern PDF for the Happy Hours blanket is available on Ravelry here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr.... It is also available for free in my Pretty Peaceful People group on Facebook here: / 492055481562505 . Yarn: Lion Brand Mandala scraps in Mothra, Liger, Wood Nymph, Diagon Alley, Arenedelle, and Troll. Beginner level pattern Size 42” by 60” 107 by 152 cm Yarn Dk weight (light, category 3). You will need about 2,550 yards (2,331 meters) of yarn. The sample blanket used the equivalent 4.5 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala yarn scraps from the Mothra, Liger, Wood Nymph, Diagon Alley, Arendelle, and Troll colorways. This is about 645 grams of dk weight yarn scraps. The main body of the blanket uses about 4 cakes (570 grams or 2,360 yards or 2,160 m) and the border uses about ½ cake of Mandala yarn (75 grams or 295 yards or 270 m). Any yarn will work for this blanket. You can use a thicker yarn and a larger hook if you like. If you use a thicker yarn, your blanket will be larger and you may need more yards of yarn than listed here. Use the hook size recommended on the yarn label. Hook size: 5 mm (US H) for blanket, 4 mm (US G) for border Gauge: 4 rounds = 4.5 inches 11.4 cm Share your project with #happyhoursblanket on Instagram! Tag @prettypeacefulcrochet too.
