Hi everyone! This is another top tips video, where I’ll be sharing with you my main tips and professional coloured pencil techniques, when it comes to drawing realistic tight curly fur, or poodle fur. Curly fur is a tricky one, but you have to tackle it in individual shapes and start with mapping in the shadows. Changing the direction of your pencil to ensure you're following the curve of every single intertwining curl, is so important. I have previously done a curly fur short focus tutorial on YouTube, quite a few months back, however the fur texture was more 'wavy' than 'curly. Wavy fur and tight curly fur, like poodles fur, are almost entirely different textures.
