VANLIFE through TUSCANY | Pisa, Florence, & Cinque Terre in a heatwave!

Hello! We’ve officially hit the hottest part of our vanlife trip through Italy - and somehow, it’s also been one of our absolute favourites 🔥🚐🇮🇹 This episode takes you from Pisa, where we dodged the midday sun to catch a glimpse of the iconic Leaning Tower, through the art-soaked streets of Florence, and finally to the stunning coastline of Cinque Terre, where colourful cliffside villages took our breath away. Driving and living in a van through these busy, historic, and often chaotic parts of Italy wasn’t always easy - parking was tricky, the heat was relentless (think 35°C), and city traffic pushed our patience - but it was worth every second. And lucky for us, campervan parking is cheap and trains are plentiful! We found shady spots for the van, cooled off with gelato, and made the most of early mornings and golden hour strolls. The contrast between each stop - from the iconic architecture of Pisa, to the Renaissance beauty of Florence, and the laid-back seaside charm of Cinque Terre - gave us one of the richest and most memorable stretches of the trip so far. We also share a bit about how we manage extreme heat while living full-time on the road, and some honest reflections on balancing tourist hotspots with the slower, peaceful pace we usually crave in vanlife.
