Why France's New 'PANG'(Porte-Avions Nouvele Génération) Aircraft Carrier may be a strategic fiasco?

France is building its first new aircraft carrier in decades, the PANG (Porte-Avions Nouvelle Génération), designed to replace the aging Charles De Gaulle. Set to be one of the largest carriers globally, the PANG will boast impressive airwing and advanced defenses. Construction of the PANG is expected to begin around 2031 and it is projected to enter service in about 2038; the year the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is due to be retired. The ship will be nuclear-powered, featuring the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG). The PANG will replace the already serving Charles De Gaulle Aircraft Carrier for the French Navy in the coming years. However, considering France's current socio-economic position and ever-changing modern battlefield requirements, investing in such a colossal project seems unwise.
