Leviticus 24 Ezekiel 26 Ezekiel 27 Ezekiel 28 1 Peter 3 1 Peter 4 We had a long discussion of the deeper meaning of "And Yehovah said to Moses saying..." and how this speaks to the commanding authority with which Yehovah engages in this kind of interaction, where as other times it's just Yehovah and Moses exchanging relationship communication. Then we looked at this "Example" of how to live out Yehovah's commands through the stoning of the son of an Israelite woman and an Egyptian father. We, we Israelites, all had to stop this arrogant twisting of Yehovah's Word, stop the potential of this blaspheme spreading through taking a hard and quick response to this boy's usurping behaviour. Keeping our lamps burning means we need to be daily dying to these things within us which resemble the cursing this son did within the body. In our own culture, we have much still to deal with. In Ezekiel we again saw this same arrogance in the theme of Tyre and that arrogant pride leads to destruction forever. The Midrash in 1 Peter led us to discuss what submission looks like when a woman is a capable proverbs 31 woman with businesses and ministries, and in contrast, what does submission look like when a woman is married to the likes of the Nephilim of Noah's day.
