Here's an update on the Hatsan Gladius and the Robert Lane Lancet Mk9 regulator tune so far. Not yet finished, but how and what you need to know before tuning your Hatsan Gladius. This should be the same process for the Hatsan Galatian and other cylinder Hatsan rifles, but also for most other rifles in principle. It's looking like the rifle will be capable of a lot more shots and more consitancy overall, which should also improve overall accuracy at near and far ranges. In the end it's a balancing act. Because these rifles were intended for the US market, we benefit from more shots at our UK sub 12 ft/lbs energy limitations, especially with making the air more efficient when opening up the transfer ports. The only way to reduce the higher power developed by opening up the transfer ports is to increase the tension on the exhaust valve, and by lowering the pressure in the regulator, meaning that you should be able to go as low as a 70 bar before the power drops off, making use of 130 bar of air from 200 bar fill. This should give a high shot count with good consitancy overall.
