My response to BBC after involving me in their Death in Dubai documentary

BBC featured my video in their Dubai Porta Potty documentary without my permission. In this video, I share my official response how my content was taken from social media, placed in a sensitive story I had no involvement in, and used to frame me as if I was “selling the Dubai dream.” I want to make one thing clear: my Dubai videos are not paid adverts and were never propaganda. That video BBC used was about my personal journey moving from a small town, starting with nothing, and building a life in Dubai. My content is about inspiring people from Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan, the Philippines, and beyond, to believe that chasing their dreams is possible. While I respect investigative journalism and the need for justice in the tragic story of the Ugandan girl highlighted, I believe BBC should have reached out before including my face and my video. I was never contacted, and I had no connection to the documentary’s narrative. My mission online has always been simple: to inspire people with my story and show that from humble beginnings, you can achieve greatness. Dubai truly changed my life, just as it has changed the lives of thousands of expats.
