Brought to you by the AIA NJ Historical Archives Committee, this webinar, one in a series to celebrate AIA New Jersey’s 125th Anniversary, presents the History of AIA Jersey Shore: 1934-present, a section of AIA New Jersey, from its inception as the Monmouth County Society of Architects to the present day. Through a collected archive of historical photographs, memorabilia, and newspaper clippings, the presentation tells the story of the various personalities and events that have shaped the organization, the profession, and educates the public on the important role of architects in society. The webinar touches on historical events of local, state, and national significance, but also illustrates the organizational, leadership, and community outreach efforts necessary for successful advocacy of the architectural profession. It is intended for enthusiasts of local architectural history and biographical history, as well as the emerging leaders within AIA. Originally presented on September 16, 2025, by Jason Vico, AIA, 2025 AIA Jersey Shore President.
