Radha Yadav was born on 21 April 2000 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father ran a small vegetable and milk stall outside their housing society, and the family lived in a modest 225 sq ft home. Life was never easy Radha was born two and a half months premature, a sign of the challenges her family already faced. Growing up in a slum, she played cricket in narrow lanes using borrowed gear, but her love for the game only grew stronger. Her father worked long hours at his stall, facing daily struggles to make ends meet. Watching him taught Radha determination and responsibility. One day, local coach Prafful Naik noticed her bowling with boys and invited her to train formally. Despite the distance and financial limitations, she began her journey with discipline and focus. Radha represented Mumbai Under-19 before moving to Baroda for better opportunities. She made her international T20 debut for India on 13 February 2018 against South Africa. Known for her left-arm spin and sharp fielding, she quickly became one of India’s most dependable players. Her achievements include a rare record from October 2024 taking 4 wickets and 3 catches in one ODI against New Zealand. When she earned her first international contract, Radha gifted her father a grocery shop as a gesture of gratitude and love. Radha’s story is proof that dreams don’t depend on where you start, but on how hard you’re willing to work and believe. #RadhaYadav #WomenInBlue #ISHNews #IndianCricket #TeamIndia #CricketJourney #WomenInSports #InspiringStory #CricketChampion #IndianWomen #DreamBig #cwc25 #WomenPower #CricketStar ISH News broadcasts the Daily News and Entertainment online in Deaf-friendly accessible formats which are in Indian Sign Language (ISL), visual images with titles, voice-over and closed-captions.
