WINDHOEK 27 NOVEMBER 2021 Despite COPPS 94.1 being a crime reality show on Kosmos 94.1 with an angle of education and also to creat a platform where each and every citizen can feel protected and part of the show. This Tim around we decided through planning and coordination among friends, colleagues and listeners to make an arrest. But this arrest was pure as a surprise birthday gift to a man that loves what we are doing . Then we had a few tense moments after a resident alerted the CP about a suspicious car spotted in his street. The area is prone to thugs that do not hesitate to pull a gun if threatened. As we kept an eye from different angles on the vehicle, some movement inside the car drew our attention as the driver made some "strange moves" inside the car. When we spotted a 2nd person , we got more alerted , but only when a lady got out of the car and entered a nearby yard, we realised they had some "quality" time down on the backseat. Since we do not want to take any chances due to our and the teams's safety we had to order the guy to get out with his hands in the air and to lay down on the ground. He was not as innocent as he claimed (by entertaining his GF in the car) Upon searching his car, we found several packets of weed, a sharp and dangerous knife (for reasons only known by him ) carrying such a weapon in his car raises the question marks higher. The weed was already enough cause for an arrest - but telling us the car belongs to him, and upon investigation and a few questions by the CP, the vehicle registration plate belongs to a car dealer and not to the owner. He was eventually cuffed and taken in where he will now face the law . but indeed a few tase ,moments as these thugs wil not hesitate to let the bullets fly to stay out of the hands of law enforcers.
