61306 Mayflower steams through Hadley | Steam Dreams Excursion - 17.11.19

The ECML would once again see steam on its turf with LNER Thompson B1 61306 Mayflower returning to her steam dreams duties, hauling an excursion from Ealing Broadway to York, with the return being diesel hauled. With Kings Cross shut and no trains leaving it until 11am that morning, the tour was to start at Ealing Broadway on the GWR, before joining the ECML at Finsbury Park. Having picked up passengers at Alexandra Palace and heading to the next pickup point, Potters Bar, the B1 is seen storming through Hadley Wood, filling the tunnel with smoke as it powers its train along through the sunny winters morning. I used this trip as an excuse to try out my new kit, a Nikon D5600, for photographs (as can be heard in the background!) and so I wasn't focussing on filming so much. I had planned to get photo's of the B1 at Kings Cross, had it still departed from there, but this was not possible so this had to do!
