Organist Kurt Grosse (1890-1936) performs Weihnachtslieder-Potpourri on the formerly Dinse organ (1891-1944) of the Friedrich Werdersche Kirche in Berlin (D), with the cooperation of Mitglieder des Staatsopern-Chors Berlin, conductor Bernard Derksen (1896-1965). 78 Rpm Kristall 9539, matrix C 6063 and C 6064, from around 1933. Side 1: 00:00 Side 2: 03:06 The organ in this church was originally built by Carl August Buchholz in 1830. In 1891, Gebrüder Dinse built a new three-manual pneumatic organ with 43 stops in the old case. During World War II, the church building and interior was severely damaged by multiple Allied bomb hits, after which the organ was lost. Years later, the churchbuilding has been rebuilt but was no longer used for ecclesiastical purposes. It does not have an organ anymore.
