A message from the City of Banning’s Economic Development Manager Marisol Lopez on supporting locally licensed businesses. As Economic Development Manager for the City of Banning, I have heard the concerns of our business community as they are forced to compete with unlicensed businesses throughout our city, and I am here to say WE’VE HEARD YOU, and WE’VE TAKEN ACTION. Banning Residents, we hear your concerns regarding unlicensed businesses that are not abiding by health and safety standards, creating a potential for the spread of disease and distribution of dangerous products which violate the regulations that have been set forth by the City, County & the State of California. Our success as a city is deeply intertwined with the success of Banning’s local businesses; by choosing to support licensed businesses, we foster economic growth and strengthen the bonds that make our city a unique and vibrant place to call home.
