The hike is accessible by car or bus. We did this hike at the end of September. In fact, September and October is a great time to hike in the Swiss Alps. The weather is not too hot and the air is clear which means more chances of steel blue skies and the panoramas extending farther into the horizon. This trail is a loop and is more suited to experienced hikers. We chose to hike the loop clockwise. The stars of this hike are the Jöri Lakes. The largest of the lakes is milky-green in color and is fed underground by the melt waters from the Jöri Glacier. Its runoff is the Jöribach stream, which gushes down into the Jöri valley and onto Vereina. The other lakes are clear and mirror the surrounding mountains.
