Boogie & Blues Grooves: Part 2 - Hartigan's Keyboard Fundamentals

In this video, I talk about some left hand patterns that can be used in blues and boogie piano playing, particularly in solo situations when the pianist is playing improvised solos and also needs to lay down a supporting groove. We briefly go over simple bass-line construction and using those bass-lines with a shuffled octave technique. The Keyboard Fundamentals series is a weekly video in which I take a close look at a single element that's been a big part of my playing, and show how I use it and where it can fit in different musical situations.
