In today's video I'm uncovering the GIANT Brazilian rhubarb, the dramatic Gunnera manicata, a fast growing prehistoric-looking plant with huge leaves. This is one of the most impressive tropical style plants I grow in my exotic jungle garden and the transformation from an 'alien-egg' crown to massive leaves over 1.5m each year across is fantastic to see. I talk about winter care, removing the winter protection and mulching to set up the spring growth.
