“In a world disciplined by a single mainstream aesthetic, art is confined within uniform templates, music reduced to rigid melodies, and even colors restricted by standardized norms. Yet you are precisely the trend renegade of this world. Riding a modified DJ turntable skateboard, you weave through cities and wilderness, with vinyl records storing hybrid tracks of electronica, rock, and classical music; The spray gun in your hand can unleash the artistic languages of pop art, realism, and abstraction into tangible energy; Colors and graffiti, beats and rhythms—all forged into your sharpest weapons. Your battles are never trivial street brawls, but a trend art revolution that flies the flag of color and wields rhythm as its blade. Weaving the fragments of countless artistic genres into a universal symphony of free-spirited beats.” ———————————— This is the reuploaded version of video. I’ve replaced the BGM in the last two parts to completely remove the AI-generated music, and re-edited it to ensure the new version still has a strong sense of rhythm. The description below has also been updated to briefly explain what happened. I don’t plan to delete the original video; instead, I’m keeping it as a lesson. However, to ensure a better preview experience for everyone, I’ve set it to "unlisted". That’s why we've infused not just edgy new elements into the job's animations and music styles, but also incorporated some street culture staples like graffiti and skateboarding. Actually, the initial spark for this idea came simply from equipping my Dancer character with a super cool street-style glamour outfit. However, the original Dancer’s visual effects clashed so badly with that aesthetic that I decided to create an entirely new theme to match it. In fact, the full draft for this concept was completed as early as February 2025. But right after finishing the Vergil project, I needed a break, and then I got caught up updating the Classic series—so I never actually started production. Fortunately, the designs introduced later in M5 and M6 serendipitously provided me with fresh inspiration and useful assets. Also, I have to admit—this theme was no small challenge for me! First off, the street art-inspired visual effects are a world away from FF14’s default style. That meant I had to design everything from scratch, and capturing that eclectic, trendy aesthetic really pushed my creative skills to the limit. The second challenge is the addition of DJs and music themes, which has made the production of SFX a major challenge. On the one hand, I want each skill to have a sense of rhythm and some DJ elements, especially for the DJing design of the four beats (originally “Dance Steps”),which took me a lot of time because I actually know nothing about DJ, so this challenge is even more difficult. Also, since I’m a big fan of Lúcio from Overwatch, I’ve referenced some of his movements when creating the DJ animations this time. On the other hand, I also wanted to incorporate some musical elements into the abilities. I initially used two AI-generated music of only 2 skill's BGM sfx(2% of 100% assets maybe), but after receiving feedback from the community, I realized this idea was wrong—so I stopped doing this and promptly removed them and replaced the music tracks!Besides that, I guarantee that none of the other SFX were AI-generated!I sincerely apologize for the mistake caused by this!and I assure that I will never consider using this tool again. I also hope that everyone will accept my apology! The third challenge was the model design of the spray gun and the multi-functional DJ machine, but I achieved the desired results through some ingenious methods. Finally, for this video, I used multiple tracks of varying styles and crafted smooth transitions between them. The editing were also carefully timed to match the rhythmic flow of the music, aiming to deliver an audiovisual experience akin to attending a live DJ set! Additionally, due to the perfect alignment of our creative art themes, this Urban Strider project joins forces with @izumi_izumi96 PCT theme for a fantastic crossover titled "ArtAttack"~ We hope you'll enjoy our works! —————————————— BGM list: 長沼英樹 - JACK DA FUNK 三Z-STUDIO,HOYO-MiX - 骑士登场 今村貴文 - Ride the Rhythm 〜至天の座アルカディア:クルーザー級〜 HOYO-MiX - 不乱不破(offvocal) Mike Millrain - Bump In The Night (Original Mix) 祖堅正慶,矢崎早彩 - Pulse シヴィライゼーションズ 〜ラケティカ大森林:昼〜 Remixed by Saya Yasaki Tom Morello,Beartooth - Everything Burns.mp3
