Two female politicians, Federal Member for Wentworth Allegra Spender and State MP for Vaucluse Kellie Sloan, received death threats and threats of sexual violence after condemning a neo-Nazi rally held outside State Parliament over the weekend. Premier Chris Minns is under scrutiny for not knowing about the National Socialist Network protest and has vowed to strengthen hate speech laws with new legislation outlawing Nazi speeches and slogans. Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon has committed to challenging any further protests by the same group in the Supreme Court.
