Courage and Starbucks settling in and joining the cookie tour so thank you @mrs.pastures_cookies ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 Both boys are incredibly sweet and kind and just haven’t been handled but I don’t think it will be hard to gentle them. It’s just so good to have them with us and to start on this rehab journey with them both. As soon as they’re gentled they can travel down to Malibu and then on to the hospital for treatment. I know they’re going to do amazingly well and finally be out of discomfort and be able to walk normally. We have consulted with so many vets on this and have absolute faith in the doctors at Alamo Pintado ❤️ Courage seems to friendlier of the two but both are open to touch and cookies so we are off on the right foot (no pun intended) ❤️ These are both Virginia range horses just like Boomer and Libby. Apparently Starbucks is the son of Bodi the Braveheart who is a famous Virginia Range stallion and full brother to Steiner who is the main alpha stallion on the range. Courage is the son of Two Socks. I don’t know these horses at all but this is what I’ve been told. Both lived free until they were about two. So that’s their stories and we don’t really mind who their family is we just want them to be comfortable and able to walk easily. Right now their hooves are so turned over their actual start of their leg makes contact with the ground which has to be painful.
