This is the video where the ER Doctor who pronounced George Floyd dead was cross examined. Cross examination of Doctor Dr. Bradford Langenfeld who treated George Floyd Derek Chauvin trial Dr. Bradford Langenfeld, a senior resident was on duty at Hennepin County Medical Center when George Floyd was brought in by ambulance. The Prosecurtioin at the former Minneapolis Officer Derek Chauvin’s murder trial agued that it was Chauvin’s knee on George's neck that killed him. The Defense ague that drugs in George's body killed him. The Doctor stated in court that George's heart had stopped when he arrived at the hospital. He told the prosecutor Jerry Blackwell, that based on the evidence he had it was “more likely than the other possibilities” that George's cardiac arrest was caused by asphyxia, what is commonly known as lack or insufficient oxygen. The defense argued that Chauvin did what he was trained to do and that George's use of illegal drugs and his underlying health conditions caused his death. The Prosecution do not agree with this line of arguments as they say that George used drugs for years, did not die and was killed by Derek. What was interesting was that the Doctor confirmed to the Defense's Eric Nelson that some drugs can cause hypoxia, or insufficient oxygen. That fentanyl and methamphetamine can do so and that these drugs where in George's body. The county medical examiner's office has said that George's death is a homicide. That he died of “cardiopulmonary arrest, complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.” A summary report listed fentanyl intoxication and recent methamphetamine use under “other significant conditions” but not under “cause of death.” Dr Langenfeld said that George's carbon dioxide levels were more than twice as high as levels in a healthy person, and he agreed that that could be attributed to a respiratory problem. But on questioning from the prosecutor, the doctor said the high levels were also consistent with cardiac arrest. The doctor said giving Narcan once a patient is in cardiac arrest would provide no benefit after he was asked this question by the Defense. He was allowed to clarify his question after being asked to do so by the Judge before and after being asked to clarify same by the Prosecution. .
