here's an unusual crystal radio build, basically a shortwave set tuned to 8 to 30 MHZ using just 5 turns for the tuning coil and 3 turns for the antenna coil.and connected to grounded Altoids box with diode and phone jack. a ground connection is optional but tends to hum more try it with a house stereo or guitar amp or even a unpowered crystal earphone if the signal is strong enough. Try it out during skip, or with a friend and CB rig.
