Hey everyone! So today, I’m wearing a beautiful Kota Doria real Zari saree, and I just had to share a little story with you all. Honestly, I never had to force myself to love this fabric. I grew up watching my mum, my grandmother, and my nani wear sarees every single day. For daily wear, they always chose Kota Doria because it’s so light and comfy. And whenever there was a function or event, they would pick a special zari saree. I still remember the day after I got married. We had a pooja at home, and the first saree I wore as a new bride was a red real Kota Doria saree. That day was really special to me because it was the first time Navin and I went to the temple together. I still have that saree with me, and because I take good care of all my sarees, it’s still in perfect condition. These sarees are delicate, so they do need a little extra care. Every three or four months, I take them out from my wardrobe to change the folds, and every time I do, all those lovely memories come rushing back. Each saree has its own story. Very soon, I’ll share a picture with you all of one of the oldest real sarees I have, which was passed down to me by my grandmother.
