Let us pray that children suffering from incurable diseases and their families receive the necessary medical care and support, never losing strength and hope. Our panellists:- Dr. Felix Felix is trained in law, medicine, and child psychology, and his work brings these fields together to help families, especially children, find the social and healthcare support they need. Along the way, he often meets families and children facing significant barriers to effective care. These include crushing poverty, complex medico-legal structures, lack of legal status documentation, or even cultural, religious, and family values working against help-seeking behaviour - especially in cases of life-limiting conditions. These experiences are why the Pope’s prayer intentions for February feel especially timely and close to home. Dr. Richard Lim Dr Richard Lim is a senior consultant palliative medicine physician who currently works in Hospital Selayang. Since 1998 he has been involved in the development and provision of palliative care in Malaysia. He was the head of the Subspecialty of Palliative medicine for the ministry of health throughout most of his career until the end of 2024. Palliative care is the field of medicine that deals with providing comfort and treatment to those with incurable life-threatening illnesses and this includes children as well. Dr. Melanie Yeoh.
