In this lesson, you will learn how to ask Where are you from? in Spanish (River Plate Spanish version included). You will also learn the names of some countries and their corresponding nationalities :) HOW TO ASK 'WHERE ARE YOU FROM?' IN SPANISH * ¿De dónde eres? ¿De dónde sos? - River Plate Spanish version HOW TO ANSWER * Soy de + el nombre de tu país / I'm from + the name of your country For example: Soy de Uruguay - I'm from Uruguay Soy de Inglaterra - I'm from England Soy de los Estados Unidos - I'm from the United States Soy de Francia - I'm from France Soy de Marruecos - I'm from Morocco Soy de Filipinas - I'm from the Philippines Another way of answering this question is to say: Soy + tu nacionalidad / I'm from + your nationality Soy uruguaya - I'm Uruguayan Soy inglés - I'm English (masculine) Soy inglesa - I'm English (feminine) Soy estadounidense - I'm American (masculine and feminine) Soy francés - I'm French (masculine) Soy francesa - I'm French (feminine) Soy marroquí - I'm Moroccan (masculine and feminine) Soy filipino - I'm Philippine (masculine) Soy filipina - I'm Philippine (feminine) Keep in mind that we write the country names in CAPITAL LETTERS, but for nationalities we just use small caps (unless we are starting a sentence with that word).
