Fuji Superia 400 X-Tra Review and Sample Photos | All about Film

Superia 400 will always have a special place in my heart, even if the exact stock that I knew and used, and honestly liked quite a bit, when I was younger is now gone. And I believe it is. This video, made over the span of about seven years, shows a Superia that performed much like I remember the stock performing. If it is true that Kodak produces Fuji film now, my sincere hope is that it’s produced to replicate Superia and to be something different than the Kodak offerings. Rebadging another stock is a disservice to the film community. However, having Kodak produce Superia as something different than UltraMax would be a service to the film community and should be supported. Right now, I can’t tell you what Fuji films will be in the future. All I can tell you is that, for a long time, we had Fuji Superia 400 X-Tra, it had a cyan-green-sensitive interlayer, it was something different from UltraMax, and film photography needs those different products.
