What is virtual commissioning? With the "virtual commissioning in real time", all machine components in the system are simulated in a virtual environment before the machines are built. Using 3D and behavioral models, we model the systems and cells in their structure, the so-called digital twin. Software scenarios enable us to fully test the functions of individual machines as well as the interfaces between the system components. The aim is not only to ensure functionality, but also to ensure the performance of the plant concept. We achieve this through the real-time simulation of material flows. This minimizes any risks and significantly shortens the assembly time at HOMAG's startup and also during on-site assembly at our customers.
