As the skies cleared from a torrential downpour, campers cheered at an unusual light show above. A giant rainbow emerged in the cotton-candy skies and was suddenly cracked open by lightning's abrupt strikes! This magical display represented something beautiful to me: the peaceful beauty of the rainbow was a calming reminder of the joy and comfort we can find in our passions, our love, and our everyday life. However, this joy does not exist without the intermittent flashes of our fears, our anxieties, and our doubts. These flashes can cut through even our purest moments with an intense strike! But they are soon gone, and the joy we had will remain for much longer. As Dizgo was poised to perform that night, another magical moment reflected those thoughts. Dizgo's trusty van broke down on the interstate hours away; the transmission failed, and it seemed we might not make the show! Fortunately, a friend came to our rescue, lending us his truck. Faster than I probably should have, I sped to pick the boys up and hitched the trailer onto our friend's truck. We would make the show in time and deliver one of our most talked-about sets of the whole year! It was another reminder of the duality of life.
