10 Tips for Prespawn Slabs and Changing Conditions

The weather finally warmed up from the freezing cold temps a few weeks ago. The crappie are moving into prespawn staging areas in large groups and some real slabs are starting to show up. Unfortunately, the weather is still a bit erratic in the early spring and that will have the fish changing their location and their moods often. In today's video, I caught them during a warm, calm day and the slabs were out and ready to eat. However, the typical jig and splitshot approach was only working for the first few casts on a pile.
