Nice and clear reception of Radyo Pilipinas from Tinang in Johannesburg, South Africa. There are two frequencies here, 9960 kHz and 12120 kHz. I pick these up often and usually quite clearly. On the Kenwood R1000 with MLA30+ loop antenna. I heard something interesting tonight, a frequency is given at one point, 738 AM. I looked it up, there is a station in Manila called Radio Pilipinas Uno on 738 AM. So, it seems to me as if the shortwave broadcast is a relay, perhaps recorded, of the Manila AM station. The programming does sound quite a lot like a local news and actuality station.
